Paris: Eiffelturm - Eintrittskarte zweiter Stock

We went to the Eiffel Tower and as expected there were long queues, to get through security and even longer to buy tickets. Waiting to buy tickets right underneath was really cold, so wrap up warm as the wind whistles through, essentially it is a big open space. If you want to go right to the top of the tower, you will need to pre-book, we didn't realise this and could only go to the second level. You can buy various drinks whilst you wait but these are limited in choice; there are toilets for people to use. Walking up the stairs to the first level does take quite a long time and it is a toll on the knees and also lungs! Don't worry though, if you don't want to climb the stairs, you can take a lift. You can buy drinks, food, champagne and souvenirs up the tower on both the first and second level of the tower, they are pricey though! There are some good views from the Eiffel Tower, so don't forget your camera! I would go back to the Eiffel Tower, but at a different time of year as by the time we got to the second level it was dark. Great pictures though! Read less

I had been wanting to visit the Eiffel tower for ages, my son suggested a mini break to Paris. We decided to walk up the stairs to the second level and then take the lift to the top! How amazing was it???? The views were well worth the steps! What a piece of engineering!!!!

A visit to Paris would not be complete without a trip to the Eiffel tower. Please go up to at least the second level where you will get breathtaking views of the city laid out before you! It really gives you an idea of how big and beautiful Paris is. Enjoy!
