This is where Marie Antoinette was held until her death. It's been cleaned up and looks all bright along the Seine. It has a castle-like appearance and is centuries old.
They have done a good job of this attraction. When I initially walked in and saw that it was mostly empty rooms I thought it was going to be boring. The tablet and the information given made it an interesting experience. We did ours as a combo with Saint Chapelle, at the end of a long day and it was able to hold my teens interest the whole time. It was just enough history and background given to feel like we learned about life at the time but yet not to overwhelm you or bore you.
